I’m a skirts and dresses type of girl, but every summer I have a major obsession with the effortlessly chic look of shorts. In honor of the Summer Solstice, I’m posting on what is so quintessentially summer – shorts.
With a basic white tee, denim shorts look so comfy chic – the prime example of effortless style.
I just adore the look of denim shorts styled well.
Lately, scalloped shorts and high-waist shorts have been all the rage. Some are just so adorable!
And of course, chino shorts are simply classic.
Of course, not to be excluded are the Nike Tempo Shorts (a.k.a. my quasi summer uniform).
They’re so comfy and terrific for exercising. I think of them as the 2010’s version of the 2000’s Soffe shorts. I plan to wear these later today on my daily run as the sun sets on this longest day of the year.

Effortless is usually easiest to pull of with jean shorts for me. I'm not sure that I make them look quite as nice as in the photos above though.
