2012 was a year of personal development in my little corner of the world. This year, I survived my most theoretical math-based semester, discovered a passion for research, and finished all of my pesky distributional credits. More significantly, this year I learned more about life, and love, and the world.

I moved off-campus and began a new journey on personal development. And in the past few months, I learned so much about empowerment – about standing up for what I believe in and addressing the past to get the closure to move forward.
I thought deeply about the person I was and the person I wanted to be, where I was and where I wanted to go. Looking back, I’m entirely tickled by how much I’ve learned about myself and others.
And perhaps most importantly, I started to love myself and to truly feel grateful for my friends, family, and life.
I’m looking forward to 2013 – I hope it’ll be a year of continued growth and self-discovery, the year I step out of my comfort zone and take risks.
Happy New Year!
